Taking Tea in the Kasbah

I have just been presented with the Liebster Blog Award by my esteemed blogging colleague, Mike Schulenberg. I humbly accept with many thanks going to Mike for the nomination!

The Liebster Award, as I’ve been told, is meant for blogs that motivate, inspire, and have 200 followers or less.

*blushes at the thought that I inspire others*

Blushing alone will not allow me to keep the award, though. Here is what I must do to share the love:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you on your blog and link back to them.
  2. Nominate up to 5 others for the award.
  3. Let them know by commenting on your blog.
  4. Post the award on your blog.

My task now is to nominate five other brilliant blog authors with whom I can share this award. There are so many great blogs out there that inspire me and motivate me that this will be a tough decision.

After much deliberation and hand-wringing, these are the five I have chosen, (though I am not entirely sure they all have less than 200 followers, so if you’ve been nominated and you have more than that, just know that above all you inspire and motive me):

Sara Walpert Foster – It may just be we are at similar stages in our lives, but her writing always touches me with the awesome power of simple truths.

Liv Rancourt – She’s put together some inspiring posts on the gentle, fighting spirit of a little girl named Sophia. Check out her blog and read about this sweet girl. I dare you to not be inspired and moved.

Grow and Resist – With a tagline that reads “Growing food, family and connection. Resisting evil where I find it. Offending delicate sensibilities as often as I can”, how can you not be inspired? Plus she has some great chicken photos and that’s not something I say lightly since I have a HUGE chicken phobia. That’s a post for another day, though.

Gloria Richard – I can’t think of a better way to be inspired than through laughter and Gloria does that in spades. Always a joy to read.

Sherry Isaac – Another great tagline. It always gets my creative juices flowing: “Psychological Sizzle: What doesn’t kill us, makes us writers.” Love the idea of psychological sizzle, don’t you?

I wish I could have included all of the wonderful blogs I read each week – there are so many that I could have easily added another forty or so! So if I didn’t include you, please know I am thinking about you!

Now, wise readers, I challenge you to go forth and check out these blogs, sign up to be followers and thereby increase your wisdom and further enhance your beauty. Or something close to that.

Thanks again, Mike, for the nomination!

  1. Tami, I am always inspired by your Kasbah. Ah, to fall back on those pillows with a cup of strong sweet tea and ponder my plot.

As for me, well, I certainly have the ‘or less’ part of the 200 followers or less prerequisite down. Thank you for the nomination.

    • You’re very welcome, Sherry! Stop by for a glass of tea anytime. The pillows will be fluffed and ready.

Tami, you honored five without making the other 75 feel left out! Very cool! I like your description and reasons for each of the nominees. You made me want to read their blogs by what you said. Well done.

    • Thanks, Jodi! I’m glad my appreciation for all of your blogs came across. It was a hard decision and I felt bad about not including everyone.

    • Thanks! I just checked out your blog and you have some AMAZING photos of Morocco. I’m doing some more posts on my time in Morocco and I’ll be sure to point people your direction to read and see more.
